GTA 5 RP Game News: An RPG Mod More Popular Than The Base Game? Posted on Apr 27, 2021 at 9:51 pm, updated on Apr 27, 2021 at 9:59 pm With 140 million copies sold in late 2020 and an upcoming port for a third generation of consoles, GTA V is undoubtedly one of the biggest hits of its time. A longevity due to the quality of its adventure, but also thanks to its multiplayer mode, GTA Online. GTA Online has long gone beyond Rockstar’s simple framework, which continues to offer content. Players have completely appropriated the title and we can no longer count the number of mods and content that players can have fun with. As we saw recently, PR, that is, an approach to the game that consists of plunging the players into defined roles to be interpreted, a briefly adapted role-playing game, is extremely successful. However, these particular servers have been taking over the public for a long time and spawning completely insane stories. Another indication of the RP’s popularity: the latest measurements from SteamDB. According to the website, FiveM, the client that launched one of the GTA Online RP mods, has far surpassed the popularity of the base GTA V. Earlier this week, it peaked at 250,000 players, while GTA V reportedly peaked at around 124,000 players. A trend that has tended to continue over the past few months, but neither Rockstar nor Take-Two have commented on the issue. As a reminder, GTA V should land on the new generation of consoles soon as it was unveiled at the opening of the PlayStation 5 showcase in September 2020. Until the announcement of Grand Theft Auto VI, GTA V seems to have some very bright days ahead of it.
