News culture Army of the Dead (Netflix): New movie images revealed Published on 04/22/2021 at 12:08 pm More than a month before the release of Army of the Dead, Zack Snyder’s next zombie movie slated for Netflix. Meanwhile, the shooting reveals some plans. New pictures from Screen Rant show the filming of Army of the Dead, the next zombie production by Zack Snyder, to whom we also owe the updated and expanded version of Justice League. Recall that in 2004 the director proposed The Army of the Dead, a remake of George A. Romero’s 1978 film. This new feature film is slated for Netflix and will feature a group of mercenaries whose job it is to rob a casino from a post-apocalyptic Las Vegas infested with zombies. In the cast, we’re counting on the presence of Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy, IP Man Legacy: Master Z), who also told Screen Rant reporters that the film is “a lot more” political than people think. “We also find Ella Purnell (Tarzan), Ana de la Reguera, Theo Rossi (Narcos), Chris D’Elia (you, Undateable), Matthias Schweighöfer (you are wanted), the French Nora Arnezeder (Angélique, Riviera, Zoo), Omari Hardwick (Power ) and Hiroyuki Sanada (Mortal Kombat, bullet train). Army of the Dead will be released on the Netflix platform on May 21. Note that other productions from the same universe are planned: The screenwriter Shay Hatten (John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum) writes Army of the Dead: International Prequel, Prequel directed by Matthias Schweighöfer, which focuses on its own character, also in the cast of the main film. The shooting takes place in Germany with, among others, Jonathan Cohen (La Flamme, family business) and Nathalie Emmanuel (Game of Thrones). And then we are entitled to an animated series, Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas, which is proposed as the origin story about the character of Dave Bautista. A production directed by Jay Oliva (Batman: The Dark Knight Returns). From Tiraxa, writing from MP
