Indie World Game News – Oxenfree II: The Lost Signal Announced on Nintendo Switch Posted on 04/14/2021 at 6:46 PM, updated 04/14/2021 at 10:22 PM In 2016, Night School Studio released Oxenfree, a an excellent narrative adventure game that tells the story of a group of friends who accidentally opened an interdimensional portal. Responsible for the problem, it was up to the group to find a solution. During Indie World on Wednesday, the studio presented Oxenfree II: Lost Signals, which will be released at least on PC and Nintendo Switch this year. At the moment we don’t know much about the title other than that we can use it to find Riley 5 years after the events of the first opus on Camena. Strange radio signals have indeed occurred on the island, and Riley fears the worst. Note that the PC version is expected on Steam while you wait for more information. On the occasion of the announcement, Sean Krankel, Co-Founder and Studio Director, said: Words cannot express how happy I am to finally be able to talk about Oxenfree II: Lost Signals. Oxenfree is a special game to us and it was an amazing experience to visit this world again. We look forward to welcoming our players back and inviting newbies on an adventure with a brand new gallery of characters that preserves the eerie, warm, and personalized experience of the original. Meanwhile, Ethan Stearns, vice president of MWM Interactive, says I’m a huge fan of Oxenfree and Night School Studios’ influence on storytelling in games. Their deep characters and incredible writing are iconic and we look forward to bringing players back to this world. Oxenfree II: Lost Signals will continue to build on what players loved so much about the original, with a new story that takes the essence of Oxenfree while also providing an entry point into the franchise for those who haven’t played the first game to have.
