News Shop Death Stranding PC: The publisher in heaven thanks to sales Released on 7/4/2021 at 6:00 p.m. Death Stranding was originally released on PS4 in 2019 and then arrived on PC to the delight of those who were waiting for it. On this medium, the title was edited by 505 Games, which obviously had a hollow nose in restoring the management of this port. In the June to December 2020 period, Death Stranding, which released on July 14, raised $ 23 million for 505 games, a figure confirmed by Digital Bros., the publisher’s parent company. That total takes into account the Steam and Epic Games Store versions, but obviously ignores PS4 sales. The Kojima Productions title is therefore closer to Control and the 23.9 million euros generated between August and December 2019. However, Remedy’s title included sales in all media. As of December 31, 2020, Control had generated € 84 million, a very high figure that Death Stranding is not currently targeting. The aim is to bring 50 million euros to the PC. Obviously the other productions, including Assetto Corsa, which grossed nearly 9 million over the same period, Ghostrunner and his 6.9 million, not to mention Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, which according to our colleagues at Gamekult, has raised 37 million since its release has recorded. Also, keep in mind that after the good results of the game, 505 Games decided to buy the Ghostrunner license for $ 5 million. For the entire second half of 2020, 505 Games announces a net profit of 15.8 million on sales of 80 million euros. From this financial report, it appears that Death Stranding was a real powerhouse for the publisher who certainly expected no less.
