Spider-Man Game News: Miles Morales – A New Outfit for the Spider-Man Posted on 3/31/2021 at 6:08 PM, updated on 3/31/2021 at 6:14 PM Released for PS4 and PS5 on November 19th last year, Spider-Man: Miles Morales offers a whole new adventure between the buildings of New York, this time in the skin of the young Spider-Man. Trained by Peter Parker, he has to take his place as a superhero in the title. It’s a bit of a surprise that Insomniac Games announced today that Marvel’s Spider-Man players have a brand new outfit: Miles Morales. It’s called the Advanced Tech Suit and keeps the colors black and red, unique to Miles Morales. Close to the designs Tony Stark could provide, the outfit is simply added to the game by Update 1.09. In addition to the outfit, this brings some fixes for previously persistent problems on PS4 and PS5. Plus, PS5 players can see more realistic muscle deformations and a new build for the character on some outfits. According to Josh DiCarlo, Head of Technical Design at Insomniac, this possible change in PS5 is related to the technology used, which comes from the cinema and which makes it possible to manage the skeleton, muscles and clothing in real time: we have a system of highly detailed and anatomically precise skeleton, muscles and fat / skin installed in Miles, as well as costumes with different material properties (fabric, rubber, etc.) all simulated together to achieve the end result. (…) We simulated the character completely from the inside out, using techniques that were previously only available in cinemas.
