News Personality Shunsuke Saito (Gravity Rush) Leaves Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Posted on 03/31/2021 8:02 AM A fresh start for Sony Japan Studio, witnessing the restructuring of the Japanese studio by Sony Interactive Entertainment: Shunsuke Saito announced on Twitter this morning that he would leave the company. He is best known for his work as the artistic director of Gravity Rush 2. New name for a growing list. After Keiichiro Toyama (Silent Hill, Gravity Rush), Teruki Toriyama (Demon’s Souls, Bloodborne), Masaaki Yamagiwa (Bloodborne) or even Masami Yamamoto (No Heroes Allowed, Tokyo Jungle), it was Shunsuke Saito who said on Twitter this morning to leave YOU Japan Studio today. He was a member of the studio for over 20 years, working on Ape Escape, where he modeled the sets and participated in the character animation. He then worked as a member of the Artistic Directorate on The Eye of Judgment (released in 2007) before working as the character animation director at Gravity Rush and then as the artistic director at Gravity Rush 2.
