Game news Asterix & Obelix again in new splendor After a little trip to Rome at the end of 2020 with Asterix & Obelix XXL Romastered, the toughest Gauls in comics and the video game world will come back into our media favorites next fall with a brand new episode called Asterix & Obelix : Slap them all! Celebrate their comeback on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. This two-dimensional beat’em, borrowing the codes of the legendary Streets of Rage saga, therefore invites you to take control of the two Gauls who have been fortified with a magic potion to undermine the Roman forces saga and defeat a multitude of hand-drawn opponents such as Roman legionaries, pirates, robbers or even Normans. The team at Mr Nutz Studio, who is responsible for the development of Asterix and Obelix: Slap them All !, offers players a very respectful comic adventure. The developers made the artistic decision to do the characters, sets and animations by hand. This is a real trend to pay homage to the 2D animation style. This aesthetic will appeal to licensees and fans of retro games. To top it off, Microids also announces that Asterix & Obelix: Slap them All! will of course be compatible with the next generation machines, namely the PlayStation 5 as well as the Xbox Series X | S, and that everything comes with a cooperative mode that is playable locally.
