The Last of Us Part II – Any news about multiplayer? – News

Game News The Last of Us Part II – Any Multiplayer News? A new job offer from Naughty Dog revives rumors of the introduction of a multiplayer mode for The Last of Us Part II. The story of The Last of Us Part II multiplayer is particularly hazy and complicated. Indeed, in 2019, Neil Druckmann’s team announced that they would not include a direct multiplayer mode in The Last of Us Part II because “the team’s vision had evolved beyond an additional mode that could be incorporated into a huge single-player campaign”. A statement that implied that a particularly consistent multiplayer mode was already in development, especially since Naughty Dog had also admitted to being as much a fan as the faction mode players (the multiplayer mode from The Last of Us). But since this mysterious announcement almost two years ago there has been radio silence, at least until today. In fact, today we learn that Naughty Dog is currently recruiting a “business designer” for a multiplayer experience. The latter would particularly focus on implementing a progression system for players. We are looking for a passionate multiplayer business designer who can help us create expression for our players to ensure solid longevity of our games and to offer our players great rewards. Naughty Dog on their official website note that we don’t know if this new job posting has a direct link to The Last of Us Part II or if the studio is currently tackling a whole new multiplayer experience. Unfortunately, to be sure, you have to be patient. You’ll also like: By JeromeJoffard, writing to jeuxvideo.com MPTwitter
